It’s hot outside. You’re hot. I’m hot. Let’s get busy linen a linen dress. I saw this pink linen dress, when it was 100 degrees outside, and knew I wanted it to work. Mainly because I had made a terrible decision to put on a thick blazer and I was dying… but also because it was so cute!
When it came and I was opening it up my first thought was, did they only send me half a dress?! because it was so lightweight. Yall, not kidding, I thought they had misplaced some of the dress. The linen is so thin; which in the heat of summer is a godsend.

Shop the Work to Weekend Look:

For my workwear look (and for my weekend look too) I let the cute pink linen dress take center stage and all I added was a simple necklace and a pair of cognac heels. I thought the mix of pink and cognac was a fun way to bring a light color heel, that wasn’t an expected nude, into the mix.
Full disclosure I did wear a slip underneath but it didn’t make it hot. I posted this dress and instagram and got a few questions about it wrinkling. It did wrinkle, I mean it’s linen, but it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary for linen. I didn’t get up from my desk at the end of the day and think ‘wow I wasn’t expecting that many wrinkles.’
For my weekend look I used the same cognac color and picked sandals and then added a fun straw bag ($22!) and straw headband ($7!). I’ve also linked another headband that’s better quality if you plan on wearing it a bunch!
