This summer I seem to be finding a perfect work dress around every corner – why am I complaining about it? I’M NOT. Let me let you in on this work dress I found that is so perfect for the office that I bought it in three colors.
As of right now there is another color, blush pink, that is available on the UK website but not yet on the US website. Why? Because apparently the brits get everything – Kate Middleton, tea time, hot accents, and apparently now the extra color in the work dress I want. The US also has a beige color but because I look like death warmed over in beige I passed, but if you’re skin isn’t translucent like mine, the beige could definitely pop on you!
I’ve styled this fantastic dress with a blazer here; I’d definitely wear the blazer in the courtroom but I’d go sans blazer if I was just in the office. Some other ideas for styling this dress include 1) adding a belt 2) knot a scarf 3) add a shirt underneath 4) wear a statement necklace or 5) toss a light sweater over top and treat it like a skirt.
I’ve already worn this dress to work and to a dinner date – both in 95 degrees. Trust this Texas girl, it can pass the heat test! I’ve had to grab my cardigan in the frigid air conditioning of my office though.
