Here are my twelve most important picks from the past month!
Over the past few months I’ve had the same thought as I look at my hair in the morning “dang this is frizzy!” I’ve been testing out changing my shampoo and conditioner and giving my hair a little bit more tlc. I’ve added hair masks each week and noticed a big help. Also, I randomly found my new favorite affordable shampoo and conditioner at Target. I needed some travel sizes to go to Colorado and my travel refillables are packed so I grabbed the Kristen Ess ones. Yall I love this shampoo and conditioner. Love it! Also, at half the price of what I was buying I’d say my wallet loves it too.
Another Target find was this Who What Wear Blazer! It’s houndstooth and has a waist defining tie belt… errrmygerd it’s beautiful! I paired it with black pants and white heels and I felt very 80’s walking into work. Speaking of walking into work, my gold loafers have been my staple commute shoe. A few times I’ve been running around the office so much that I haven’t taken then off after my three flights of stairs climb. We do have an elevator but it’s faster to take the stairs (and healthier right?). Check out these other plaid/patterned blazers I’ve been crushing on this month:
I changed my summer purse over to a new fall/winter purse and I knew Dagne could do no wrong. I had a small Michael Kors bag since high school and it’s gotten raggedy but it was still my favorite fall purse because of the size and color so when I found this crossbody on Dange Dover I knew it would soon become my go to. I was right. It’s currently on sale so get your purse on!
This tennis bracelet from Amazon has been one of my great Amazon finds. I wear it constantly because it’s great quality, the prongs don’t stand up and catch on anything, and because I don’t own a legit tennis bracelet haha! Plus it looks good with everything.
I posted earlier this month on my instagram stories about having some serious lower back pain and a few people recommended a foam roller to help. Others were like “stop sitting at work woman!” I’m working on the latter but I snagged a foam roller to help now and OUCH. Man I need this foam roller more than I thought!
Getting back in the swing of my green smoothies and I’ve added this protein collagen powder to my smoothies. It doesn’t make it taste any different and it crams more healthy stuff in my body so I’m all for it. Other things I’m drinking is my go to tea. LOOSE LEAF PEOPLE. This is my go-to tea for the mornings and afternoon pick me ups.
On the weekends I’ve been shying away from makeup. I feel like my skin needs a rest since I’m back in the office full time and putting on makeup every day. I went to brunch with TM the other weekend and just put on a swipe of mascara, some rosehip oil, and my usual Tula Under Eye Balm and he made a comment about how awake I looked. Now, he might just be trying to say something nice and landed on that because my hair was in a bun and I was rocking some sweats but I’m taking the compliment at face value. So the Tula Eye Balm is basically saving my face from looking haggard.
Last but not least, but certainly random, this little document holder (that I’ve had since law school) has been pulling double it’s weight this month. I’ve gotten so much use out of this little thing over the years. It’s one of my office staples.
