In every trial the twelve members of the jury are the decision makers in the room. So each month I’m going to share my twelve must haves for that month! Get ready for June!
#1 – Summersalt Swimsuits: these babies are amazing, about two years ago I finally pulled the trigger and bought one. The Sidestroke (the one I’m wearing) was my first and is still my favorite. I also purchased the Deep Dive last year and it’s my second favorite suit! The colors on every suit are so bright and fun and every suit is well made.
#2 – Big Sunnies: these Le Specs sunnies are my favorite purchase and I will be wearing them all month (and all summer). They’re large enough to protect my eyes and not too big to make me look like a bug. Plus, when you hold these you can tell they aren’t going to break on you!
#3 – Good Sunscreen: I wear sunscreen everyday. My mom had a skin cancer scare when I was little and she had pounded it in my head since then – SUNSCREEN EVERYDAY. You can get a glow without tanning. Plus, with sunscreen everyday your skin will stay looking fabulous your entire life. This sunscreen is my everyday-under-makeup choice and then I have my day-at-the-beach sunscreen but I want to try this mousse sunscreen too! TIP: always put sun screen on the backs of your hands – most people forget!
#4 – My New Favorite Gin: Gin is my liquor of choice. I got it from my grandpa, who used to have a G&T every night. Lately I’ve been experimenting with trying different gins. This southern company, Seersucker Gin, has moved to the top of my list. This grapefruit gin is refreshing and pairs well with the bougie tonic I buy. Cheers!
#5 – Linen Everything: it’s already in the 90s in Texas and it’s only going to get hotter. I’ve been leaning towards linen everything. This purple linen blouse from Boden will be a work wardrobe staple for me. These linen pants from Old Navy ($30!) are comfortable, cool, and are great toss on for when you want a comfortable work from home outfit that isn’t workout gear. Check out my linen favorites:
#6 – Headbands: give me all the headbands. They’re hiding my frizzies and letting me not feel so bad when I wear a ponytail every day while working from home. Here are some of my favorite headbands:
#7 – Work From Home Dresses: toss on one of these comfortable dresses that make working from home comfortable and chic. This red shirt dress is comfortable and will look great over July 4th!
#8 – Desk Fans: this $20 fan is powerful and keeps me cool during the day. Apparently sitting in front of a bank of windows looks cool but is actually super hot in the Texas sun. This fan keeps me cool.
#9 – Fountain Diet Cokes: when I venture out I stop and pick up a fountain diet coke. They are keeping me sane. Fountain DCs taste the best and I will die on this hill.
#10 – White Tennis Shoes: I have finally jumped on the white tennis shoe bandwagon and these Tretorn sneaks are giving me all the ‘cool kid/in crowd vibes’ and are chic enough to keep away from the ‘mom shoes’
#11 – Target’s New Workout Line: All in Motion is taking all my money. Orange Theory finally opened and while my base pace might be off my workout fashuuuuun is definetly not. The shirts and pants are super comfortable and don’t break the bank.
#12 – Under $10 Apple Watch Bands: while I love my Apple Watch I don’t want to pay $50 for a new band. These bands are under $10 and are amazing. I bought three in different colors for summer.
