Let me introduce you to The Coat. The coat of all coats. The C(G)OAT if you will. If you purchase one winter coat in your lifetime make it this one. Yes I tend towards hyperbole but seriously, the camel coat is a classic and timeless choice. It comes in second only to the trench for workwear; but it’s first on the list when the temperatures drop and the trench becomes… too light.

This is my go to coat for winter. I toss it over workwear, I toss it over jeans, over athleisure wear, over date night outfits, I toss it over everything! I wore it last week for work and then I wore it over a pair of leggings and that tee I’ve been talking about nonstop over on instagram with my go to tennis shoes this weekend for brunch. When I tell you it’s versatile, I mean it!
I’ve had this particular coat for ages; I purchased it back in law school from ASOS when all I could really spend on coats was around $50. I will probably end up purchasing a higher quality one here in the next year or so. I always want to have the camel coat as a choice in my coat closet!
When you’re building your professional outerwear closet make sure to have the camel coat in the rotation. It’s not the only coat you’ll ever want but it’s definitely the best place to start!
