I found Ally right before the world went on lockdown. I had a chance to participate in their at-home-trial which allowed me to try on their heels after filling out a questionnaire. The questionnaire makes sure to get the fit just right. There was a fit specialist that was there to answer any questions I had.
Meet the Team
During quarantine I was able to foster a relationship with Samantha Dong and her team over at Ally. It’s quite refreshing to like the people behind a product as much as I like the product they make. Samantha described heels as her armor at work and man could I relate to that! She described how she was inspired to create heels that were stylish and comfortable when she was hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro. (Umm how bad*ss is that?!)
She realized that most shoe makers and designers of inserts were men and she wanted to change that. She started by asking women what they wanted in heels – which is what every designer should do right? When she started crowdfunding with her team they crowdfunded 5 different shades of nude and this idea blew up! Samantha is a producer who based her business on the women she serves and this dedication to her customers shows.
Putting them through the paces
At the office, I am on my feet all the time. Running files around, presenting to the Grand Jury, sprinting to the courtroom, and then walking around the courtroom. I’m not one of those who sit still in trial.
Going back into work for the past few months has allowed me to put them through their paces and I can tell you my title isn’t clickbait – they really are the best high heels for work.
