I shy away from browns in my wardrobe. I’m more of a navy and black basics girl but I saw this brown plaid blazer and I knew I needed to add it to my closet. But here’s the dilemma: since I don’t have a lot of browns in my wardrobe how do I go about styling this brown plaid blazer?
I’ll let you in on a little secret, when I don’t know how to style something, I mostly default to all black underneath haha! I decided to do the same here but I added caramel heels and a matching bag. I think it brings out the caramel tones in the blazer and the brown and black doesn’t clash!
I’ve also styled this brown plaid blazer with a simple white tank underneath it. I wouldn’t add any more prints under the blazer since the plaid is so in your face! Mixing prints is great for outside the officer but mixing them in the office tends to get a little messy. You want to be slightly more understated than that.
