Here’s some beauty products that I’ve emptied (or decided they weren’t worth emptying) lately. These are all my quasi edited thoughts – none of these products were gifted so there’s zero bias here. Let’s dive in shall we?
Sunday Riley: Antioxidant + Superfood Face Oil
This smells like an Italian salad. I read the reviews and noted that the smell was too much for some people but I figured I could deal with it. It worked and it was a wonderful face oil and a large amount of product. But I couldn’t deal smelling like a salad.
Buy Again: No but only because of the smell.
Bobbi Brown: Soothing Cleansing Oil
I first got this as in a travel size and loved it. It’s a wonderful cleansing oil and makeup remover. I usually have to follow up with a micellular cleansing water to get all the oil off.
Buy Again: Yes!
Tula: Refreshing & Brightening Face Mist
I couldn’t even get through this. I like some Tula products, I love their primer, but this I couldn’t get through. The sprayer was too small to actually mist on your face and I felt like it didn’t do anything. I shoved it in my beauty empties drawer and went about my business.
Buy Again: No.
Caudalie: Micellar Cleansing Water
I liked this micellar cleansing water but I felt like I wasn’t getting the best bang for my buck. It was just too little product for too much money so I looked for new ones to try. I knew I liked the product itself but I just felt slightly shortchanged. This is the one that I’ll be forever repurchasing.
Buy Again: No but only because I found one I like better.
La Roche-Posay: Vitamin C Serum
I was looking for a new Vitamin C Serum, my old one seemed like it stopped working, if that’s a thing? Anyway, I ordered a few and I love this brand’s hyaluronic acid so I thought I’d give it a chance. I hated it. It was too thick, it didn’t sink in my skin, and I couldn’t put anything over it no matter how long I waited. Even after 20 minutes I tried putting moisturizer over it and it just pilled up. Couldn’t even finish the bottle.
Buy Again? No.
Moroccan Oil: Intense Hydrating Mask
I love this hair mask, it makes my hair so smooth. I’ve tried others but I always come back to this.
Buy Again: Oh yes!
Sunday Riley: High Dose Retinoid Serum
I love this brand but this retinol didn’t do it for me. It had a strong-ish smell (not as bad at the facial oil above) and I just didn’t see the results I wanted after consistent use. I’m going to try some different ones.
Buy Again? Maybe.
