This past weekend my mom came over and helped me meal prep a bunch of freezer dinners (and lunches) and snacks for postpartum! Any day now baby!
I kept putting this off. I knew postpartum meal prep would be awesome if I did it, I knew this, but the whole process of picking the meals, getting them together, writing the grocery list, going to the store, buying everything, then putting everything together was just… exhausting to think about. I had a free afternoon one weekend and miraculously had energy and thought, okay you can knock out the choices and grocery list today. Then I called my mom and asked if she would come over and help me prep everything. I ended up going to the grocery store but that’s because I left it too long for the curbside order – which would have been much easier obviously. Plus, my mom wanted to go to Costco (TM and I have a membership and she doesn’t) so I left some things to get there.

When I posted about it over on IG I got a ton of requests to share the recipes and how I prepped. I was responding via DM and then was like ‘okay I’m just going to draft a post.’ I’ve pulled together the recipes I used so you can see where I got them from. But then I had a brilliant idea, if I do say so myself. I did the hard work for you – I’ve put all the recipes together in one PDF that you can print and it includes a grocery list!
I designed the postpartum meal prep PDF so you can print the recipes on these labels so you can stick them on your freezer ziploc baggies and freezer trays! Even though all my meals were already in the freezer I printed mine and went and put them on the bags and my trays. They include reheating instructions too! That way you have one less thing to remember when you’re in the newborn trenches or your partner can handle meal times and you don’t have to give directions.
Depending on how much everyone eats there’s, conservatively, three full weeks of meals: breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. You’ll be eating leftovers of course but we know FED IS BEST : )
