I wear makeup every day for work and it surprised me when I realized that there are a lot of people that don’t. To each their own, but for me I don’t feel as comfortable without something on my face. Don’t get me wrong there have been a few times, usually when I’m super late, that I get there with bronzing lotion, sunscreen, mascara, and lip tint only. But that’s only been a few times so here’s my (mostly) everyday makeup routine!

After I moisturize and put on sunscreen, I use the tula primer in ‘luna,’ I don’t like wearing full base mainly because I shudder with the thought of caking makeup on my face, so everyday I only use the tinted primer. It’s awesome, it comes out of the tube white but it melts into your skin with the tint. The primer has been on my ride or die list for years! Next up is concealer and then setting powder – a must in Texas.
Once I’ve set everything with the powder I grab my contour palette and use the highlighter and bronzer. I fluctuate back and forth with the palette and cream sticks but the pressed contouring set is quicker so honestly it get used the most. I use a tiny bit of blush on the apples of my cheeks and up a slight bit; just a tiny bit because my cheeks are naturally rosy.
After contouring I start on my eyes with my favorite eye shadow palette and eyebrow gel. Once I started defining my brows I never looked back and now it’s an essential step in my everyday makeup routine; I feel like it makes my face look more defined. I only use my eyeliner on the outside parts of my waterlines, I think it prevents me from getting the racoon look. Next up is to curl my eyelashes, pro tip: heat the curler with your hairdryer, and then lash primer and this tubing mascara. It’s seriously the best, I’m not looking at other mascaras after using this one!
Last part of my everyday makeup routine is lipliner and a lip stain. I’ve started using lip stains because I really don’t want to be bothered reapplying multiple times during the day. The two lip stains I’ve linked, when layered together, create the perfect color match to the lipliner I love!
