I have a thing for moccasins. They are the closest thing to slippers that you can wear to work.
Since middle school there has always been at least one pair of mocs in my closet. I don’t know why but I vividly remember purchasing my first pair of moccasins in the mall in Fargo, North Dakota (oh yeah you betcha). They were a pair of Minnetonka mocs and ever since then I’ve always had a pair of Minnetonka mocs in my closet. I wear them so much I’m on my third pair because I’ve worn through the leather on the first two pairs over the years.
Since I started work I’ve added other kinds of moccasins to my shoe collection. They are fantastic commuter shoes if you have to be in heels at the office and if you get the right ones they are crazy comfortable. They look incredibly chic with ankle pants or crops and I love dressing down a skirt or dress with them. While my Minnetonka ones don’t exactly fly at work (hello fringe) there are many more to pick from. Look for simple lines and good quality fabrics so you don’t wear a hole in them.
These Jack Rogers moccasins are high quality and combine the look of a sleek shoe with the comfort of suede slippers. Seriously, slipping these on make me think I could stand all day and I could buy that stand up desk I’ve been eyeing. Plus, since they’re Jack Rogers you know you’re getting great customer care if you ever have a problem. Also, check out all the different fabrics and colors! Your closet is crying for a pair of mocs, I know, I can hear it saying mocs are a must!
Funny enough my actual slippers are also moccasins. I’ve loved these Ugg slippers for the past three years. All my other slippers have been donated or trashed since those babies came home.
