I’ve got a thing for scarves. Even in the heat of summer I gravitate toward them but many people think you can’t wear them to work. Not true!
You just need to know how to fold them. Smaller scarves are easy, tie one around your shoulders or neck and you’re good to go; a longer scarf takes a little more precise folding, because you don’t want it to bunch up behind your neck.
Step 1: start with an beautiful scarf
Step 2: fold your scarf to make a triangle
Step 3: grab the bottom point and fold into the scarf with the width of about your palm
Step 4: put it around your neck and go!
Scarves are incredibly versatile accessories. They are similar to statement necklaces in that they give your outfit an incredible boost, they can make a go-to dress look different than when you wore it last week, and you can wear them at work or off duty.
This scarf is from Draper James, Reese Witherspoon’s (Southern) company, and I am in love. It’s long (+), soft (++), and the colors are vibrant (+++)! I’ve worn this scarf with jeans shorts and a white tee to brunch and paired it with this beautiful navy dress for work.
