All the sprays! It’s like the new lions, tigers, and bears oh my! We’re talking about Hairspray, Dry Shampoo, and Texture Spray today and I’ve got some thoughts!
I have long thick hair and it will hold a curl. It’s got texture in it depending on how I dry it. I tell you this to give you the basis for what my hair looks like when I use my favorite sprays. These are the three that I use consistently and the ones I’ve come back to time and time again. First up: hairspray.
Back when I was dancing (formal training thank you very much) I hated hair spray. I hated the smell and how sticky it was. Not anymore. This hair spray is perfect – not a bad smell, actually kind of nice, and it’s a soft hold. When I’m curling my hair I will spray a section then curl it. Once I’m done with a layer of hair I’ll spray that entire layer again and then move on to the next layer and those sections. It’s also got a heat protectant in it so bonus!
I love this texture spray – it’s like if dry shampoo and hair spray had a baby and created something magical! That sounds weird but it’s true! I love using this on second day hair when it’s fallen and looking a little flat. I’ll section my hair again and give the roots and underside of my layers a good mist and depending on the style rough up my roots with my fingers.
My favorite dry shampoo comes out more often than I’d like to admit but hey that’s okay; that’s what it’s there for right!? This dry shampoo has the greatest smell and while you can feel a small bit of residue I only feel it when I’ve used it two days in a row. I spray it on before bed if possible or if not then I’ll spray my roots and massage it in if needed. I reviewed this dry shampoo in one of my empties posts!
Which one are you going to try out? My favorite hairspray, dry shampoo, or texture spray? Oh my!
