Is it grey or gray?
I’ve got a few outfits that I love from when The Docket was Beyond the Black Suit that I want to bring back. So every time you see “From the File Room” it’s one of my old school outfits I’ve brought back!
It’s cold down here in Texas and when I say “cold” and mean cold enough that I can layer without wanting to die from heat stroke, so I take every chance I get. My secret to layering without seeming like you can’t move is to have your first layer be a silk long sleeve top. Not only does it feel heavenly, it moves with you, and doesn’t create obnoxious creases under you next layer. It also doesn’t add too much bulk so you can add more layers if you want (or if your weather allows/requires).
I’ve seen a lot of monochromatic looks with neutrals – mainly tan/beige/brown – but since an all tan outfit doesn’t quite work with my coloring (aka I look like death or a giant hotdog – there’s a visual for you) I tried it with all greys. I might be biased but I like it.
