Ever feel like you want to dress for the holiday season at work but you don’t want to go overboard? I mean no one wants to be thought of as the lady who wears the light up jingle bell sweater when it’s not the ugly sweater party right? I’ve got 8 holiday workwear outfit ideas for you that aren’t over the top.
Idea One: Mostly Black with a Little Red
With this red bow top, that is gorgeous on btw, and a classic black pencil skirt you can jump into the holiday red without going overboard. Same with this holiday red color block oversized cardigan. It’s red without taking over your entire outfit.
Idea Two: Green Plaid
I love green for the holidays; it feels more understated. A green plaid paired with navy is a perfect choice to get into the holiday workwear spirit but still have your outfit stay professional. You won’t believe where I found this skirt from and this green silky top is perfect for under a blazer. This green plaid blazer actually has a bit of pink in it which makes it fun to work with. Here I tossed a white turtleneck shell under it and added a green slip skirt. Voila!
Idea Three: Full Outfit Color
A red dress around the holidays is going to scream holiday right? So lean into it! Go for the full red! You can always save this dress and wear it for valentine’s day too… just a thought! Or maybe you don’t want to be all red but want to add some green too? Then toss a green sweater over red pants and call it Christmas.
Idea Four: Red Plaid
These plaid pants are a great find! They’re pull on with an elastic waist (score!) and are actually pretty flattering on! You can pair them with a black sweater or a red sweater depending on how ‘holiday’ you want your workwear outfit to be!
