A white tee is a staple is anyone’s closet – even more so in a casual closet. Here’s how to make it a staple in your workwear wardrobe too!
Make sure the tee you pick isn’t see through – you want to make sure your bra doesn’t show. It’s also important to pay attention to the fabric – go for a soft heavy weight rather than a rough heavy weight or thin weight fabric. Another style choice is vneck, scoop, or crew. Personally I think the vneck is the most casual of the lot and the crew is the most professional. I styled a crew for this post.
Business Professional
black suit + statement necklace + black pumps
Adding the white tee is quite really the only way to make it work in the professional realm. Keep it simple.
Business Casual
black slacks + trench + black pumps
The trench keeps this look business appropriate and laid back. If you need to take off your trench add a colored blazer or patterned jacket.
Smart Casual
dark denim + black blazer + long necklace + black pumps
This is a basic and staple smart casual look – switch out the pumps for flats and you’re still work appropriate.
Casual
leopard skirt + black slip on tennis shoes
As long as you stay away from athleisure you really can’t go wrong here! I paired it with the leopard skirt to give it a little extra fun.
Here’s a video with all these styles, from business professional to casual. There’s an extra outfit too – styling a white tee for date night!
