If you are signed up for my Monthly Newsletter then you know I finally found a home! After almost two years of living with my mom (wowza) I finally found my own place. I absolutely love it and things are happening in the house before I can move in but I am counting down the days!
Make sure you’ve signed up for the Monthly Newsletter because in this month’s newsletter I’m going to give a longer run down of things I’ve already done and things that are going to happen in the house. The list is a doozy but I am so seriously thrilled to finally be in this position!
When I left Dallas and sold my house I donated, sold, or left quite a bit of furniture: sofa, dining table and chairs, and dining room sideboard to name a few things. I’m basically going to move into this house with two oversized chairs, on complete bedroom set, and one with a bed and dresser. I’ve been looking at interior design ideas off and on for the past year and quite frankly I’m overwhelmed. Couple that with the fact that nothing is in stock and then I apparently can’t make a decision in a timely manner. Don’t even ask how long it took me to decide on paint. I also have such a difficult time imagining the entire set up when I look piece by piece. You can see how I feel like I might live on those two chairs forever…
The design style I lean towards is a mix of Traditional (handsome, quintessentially English, and formal) and European Country (timeless and tranquil); with the tiniest bit of Classical. Here are some of the images that are capturing my overall vibe for this home. I also apparently gravitate towards blue ha! One thing I love about each of these images is that they have nature brought into the space and the mix of textures.
Remember to sign up for my Monthly Newsletter so you can get the entire scoop of how the house hunting went down – spoiler under a week – and for all the things I’m changing prior to moving in!
