The time has finally come to introduce TM to the rest of my clan… we’re headed to the lake for an extra long weekend. My suitcase is full but we’re doing so many different things that I had to make some tough decisions on what to put on my Minnesota Packing list.
Most of my extended family lives in Northern Minnesota and for a woman who spends her days in 100+ Texas heat I am super excited about it. Not only will we get to spend time on the lake but go on a hike and we get to go to boundary waters of the Mississippi River at Lake Itasca. If you ever have the opportunity to take a trip there I highly suggest it; the lake and park itself is beautiful and there’s something awe inspiring about standing at the very beginning of the Mississippi River.
I’m sure I’ll post some pictures on instagram if you want to follow along to the boundary waters and the lake! Here are some of the things on my Minnesota Pack List (all items are clickable)

There’s also one place I love to visit each time I’m there. My grandparents used to live on the lake and the property is still in the family, so ever since I was little sitting on their dock was one of my favorite places. I love to sit there and watch the sunset or read a book on a chair on the dock. It’s a place that feels very much like home. I’m excited to bring TM there.
I’ll be sure to bring out all my Minnesota-isms like you betcha on this trip! You can also see the items that didn’t make this mini Minnesota packing list by following me here to see all the daily outfits and things I’m using while traveling and staying in Minnesota.
