I think scarves are one of the most underrated accessories, next perhaps only to brooches. I love purchasing scarves and styling them not only for work but for the weekend too! Scarf work outfits are few and far between but I chalk that up to people being unsure of how to style a scarf outfit for work!
One of my favorite scarves is an off white one that I purchased in Budapest when I traveled there. Since I prefer to purchase souveniers that I can use and scarves are not only beautiful pieces, you can wear them or even frame them, but they’re easily portable to pack in a suitcase!
This blue and white scarf I added to a navy suit and I love the outcome. You could easily style this suit with a small scarf or a longer scarf. There’s something about a scarf, that when added to a work outfit, just makes everything chic. Here are some of the scarves I could see styling for the office:
Check out these other ways I’ve styled a scarf for work:
– long skinny scarf
– small square bandana scarf
– long square scarf, including how to fold it
– oversized scarf
– small square scarf, not tied
– small square tied only around neck (and two other ways)

When picking a scarf to style for a work outfit remember to be selective about the fabric, size, and pattern. Oversized scarves won’t fly in the spring but you can get away with them when it’s cold. Silk always works but a gauzy scarf with fringe won’t be accepted in professional workplaces.
