Here are my 12 picks from this month! Most of these are born of the fact that I’m now back in the office full time… moment of silence for the two hours I now lose to a commute each day.
I changed my closets from fall/winter to spring summer, did a huge purge and donate, which felt amazing, and then wanted to get it all organized. I love the velvet hangers but needed some more and then found these clips that turn the velvet hangers into pants/skirt hangers. My closet looks awesome, very uniform, and I can bring all those wire hangers back to my dry cleaner. Did you know they reuse them? Also, you can donate hangers to Goodwill or Salvation Army because they use them to stock their store with clothes.
Since I’m now back in the office full time I needed to make that switch because I wanted to see what my closet looked like and if I needed any staples; especially after I donated a few bags. I picked up this white shell with a tie at the neck. I love it! It comes in a few colors so if you don’t need a staple white or black you could also get the leopard or spotted. This clothing rack has also been great for laying out clothes for the morning. Also, along with headed back in full time I’ve been wearing heels more often. RIP to my sweet days of slippers and tennis shoes. I ended up tossing my pair of nude leather wedges. Honestly I probably kept them a few years past their expiration date and the minute I wore them to work I realized why I didn’t wear them any more… they squeaked every step I took! Bye bye! I ordered a new pair of nude leather wedges since I used to wear them a lot in the summer. These babies are going to get lots of use this summer since they go with everything and are super comfortable! Anyway, I have been rotating my shoe inserts each day to the heels I wore so they dry out and don’t smell. These babies are golden!
I snagged this leather tote on sale in pale pink and it’s been getting a bunch of use this month! It holds a good amount and it stands up by itself; not quite sure why but that attribute is very important to me. It’s been great for bringing my workout clothes to work when I take my lunch time walks. I don’t know how long those are going to continue since it’s starting to warm up here in Texas. Another everyday use has been my tumbler. I’m trying to make drinking water easier and having it on hand all the time has been key.
On the Sephora sale I grabbed this lotion that I ran out of over the winter. It smells like lavender and is very moisturizing; it’s great for layering over serums at night. I also picked up this contour stick since I decided I needed to upgrade my contouring game and that being back in full time but not having trials yet would be a good practice run. o far so good… I think haha! Over the pandemic time at home I tried to go through my stockpile of skincare; did anyone else do that? I’ve been using these tube rollers all.the.time! Have you every used one? I use them on everything: toothpaste, sunscreen, retinols etc. These are the greatest!
Now for number 12, it’s very random, but I lost a charging cable and had to buy a new one. This 6 foot cable is my go to: work, travel, and home. It’s braided so no fraying and with 6ft it’s always going to be long enough!
