It’s March! One of my favorite months because it includes St. Patrick’s Day which means green green green and more green! This year I won’t be headed out to any Irish Pubs for the 17th but I still want to have a festive St. Patti’s Day so I wanted the March Bar drink to be green!
I tried out two different green cocktail recipes to see which one I liked best and well, I couldn’t decide so I’m giving you both recipes so you can get your drink on. I’m still working with my mom’s drinkware cabinet because everything I own is still in storage; so I knew I wanted to get creative with my garnishes to make things extra festive. Apparently I couldn’t decide on the garnishes either because there are four different ones! Two drinks, four garnishes, one drunk lady tasting everything haha!
I’m calling these drinks the ‘Mint My Day’ and the ‘ShamRocker.’ Stupid? Maybe. I’ll work on it for next month.
The Mint My Day
1 oz creme de menthe
1 oz creme de cacao
1 oz bailey’s
1.5 cups mint ice cream – mint chocolate chip okay
blend everything together
add more ice cream if needed
keep in freezer until ready to serve, you might have to blend a little more
The ShamRocker
1 oz creme de menthe
1 oz bailey’s
1 oz vodka
1 oz kahlua
shake all over ice
then serve
my garnishes include: green sprinkles, melted chocolate, green M&Ms, and marshmallow only lucky charms
