Every fall I gravitate towards all things plaid. Springs draws me toward tweed but the fall calls for plaid. There’s something about a plaid blazer that makes my heart skip a beat. You can get great mileage out of a plaid blazer: from work to weekend, they work everywhere. Here’s a few ways to style a plaid blazer this fall and winter.
Try grabbing one when you’d normally grab a black blazer and see how it elevates your look. Toss one over a solid dress and see how it creates a more dynamic look. Easily style a plaid blazer by pairing it with wide leg pants or ankle crops for a fall outfit. Layer a plaid blazer with a great fall scarf and you’ll look like you basically just stepped away from apple picking. Toss a baseball cap on with a plaid blazer and jeans and boom you’re the chicest chick at whatever event. Pick one in a punchy color to brighten up your outfit when the temps are super low.
Basically plaid blazers make me love fall even more than I already do and that is pretty difficult to do because I loooooove fall!
How to style a plaid blazer:
I tend to put tanks under my plaid blazers, but when it gets colder I love changing it up and wearing turtlenecks instead. These tissue turtlenecks are wonderful quality and at a great price point. Plus there are an insane amount of prints to choose from! I think I might switch up the plaid/solid combo neck time. I don’t know if I’m bold enough to try a print under a plaid? What do you think? I know not everyone loves a turtleneck but try one under your plaid blazer. Tell me what you think!
