I’ll be the first to admit that more than usually I don’t switch up my jewelry each day. I’ve got my essentials in the rotation and I tend to make simple jewelry choices for the office.
While statement jewelry can look fashion forward, trendy, and really fun it can also look over the top depending on your office dress code.
In a business professional workplace you want to keep to simple jewelry choices for the office. Accessorize (only if you want) with statement jewelry in increments according to your office dress code.
Business Professional – 1 statement item
Business Conservative – 2 statement items
Business Casual – 3 statement items
So my office tends to Business Professional and that means I keep it to a statement ring with simple earrings or statement necklace and simple earrings and a simple ring.
So my usual go to choices are a delicate necklace, simple studs or drops, and a classic bracelet. And, while I don’t find this weird but apparently others do, I rarely take these items off. I always take my earrings off after work but I swim, shower, workout, and sleep in my rings and necklace. It doesn’t bother me but each to their own.
Here are a few of my favorite simple jewelry choices for the office:
Earrings
Necklaces
Rings
Bracelets
My favorite items are this disc necklace that I had engraved with ‘W & T’ for Winston and Teddy (yes I’m THAT person), this bar bracelet I bought myself for my birthday, these (incredible cheap) rings (1, 2, 3), and some simple gold disc drops I’ve had since middle school. Those drops are obviously sold out (probs from The Icing) but here’s another option; I also pick understated diamond studs.
Some weeks the only things I change are my earrings and I keep my necklace and rings on the whole week. I love jewelry and I think it can always add and extra something to every outfit but sometime less is more (and easier)!
