It’s spring time and yeah as of right now most people’s work pants are leggings because you’re stuck at home #flattenthecurve but I need to let yall know about my favorite trousers for spring.
These wide leg slacks have quickly worked their way into my wardrobe and become my favorite trousers for spring and probably summer.
They’re light and airy, which means bring it on Texas summer, kidding, please be nice to me Mother Nature. These pants lay beautifully when they’re on because they’re cut extremely well. The waist isn’t too high but they’re higher than what your normal straight leg trousers are usually at on you. I love the double button feature; you can’t really see it in these pictures but the button closure at the top of the zipper isn’t hidden and there are two buttons. It’s a nice addition to work pants.
I knew I wanted to pair my favorite trousers for spring with a print and I really love how this Breton top takes the pants to a chic nautical place. Maybe later in the summer I can imagine myself back in Maine in the lovely breeze. Plus Kate Middleton loves herself a Breton top and if they’re good enough for Queen Kate then who am I to disagree?
Funny Story (and maybe a word of caution): the first time I wore these pants to work I wore them with a low block heel, which I love, but I tripped three times that day. Each time I was on the stairs, it was so weird. The next time I wore the pants I wore them with 3 inch heels and I had zero problems. I paid a little more attention on the stairs but I returned home with no bruises so I think wearing them with a higher heel is key. Just trying to save your shins and pride from bruises.
