Calling all curly haired girls!
Ever get tired of straightening your hair every day? Of round brushing right out of the shower every day? Don’t you wish there was an easier way to handle your hair?
Can I sound more like a infomercial (or Chandler Bing) right now?
I’ve seen those dryer brush things and yeah they look great and cool (maybe slightly heavy?) BUT why don’t you just try going au natural, hair that is. Say yes to your wavy hair at work!
My hair isn’t necessarily curly, it’s more of a wave that tries really hard to be a curl and fails miserably. When I was in high school and tried to go curly I would use drug-store-$5-for-a-gallon-gel and scrunch the sh*t out of my hair. Yes, it looked just as good as it sounds – CRUNCHY; basically Captain Crunch over here. I’ve, thankfully, grown up since then and visited a hairdresser who knew curly/wavy hair and who took pity on me and shared their curly girl knowledge.
I use these two products (cream and gel-oil) and this diffuser + hair dryer combo when I want to sport my wavy hair at work. I used to also use this spray but in the past couple of years my hair texture has changed and it’s not as rough as it was so it no longer needs that spray. Sometimes I don’t use a diffuser – honestly I’m not sure I’m using it correctly… I’ll check in with a stylist and report back.
Wearing my hair natural at work is really freeing, besides letting me get another 30+ minutes of sleep, and people like seeing your natural hair! I love when I see another curly/wavy haired girl in work clothes. Gotta give each other the nod right?
Do you wear your hair curly at work?
