Where did these fashion rules come from anyway? I can remember my mom saying some of these rules to me in middle school but that was a long time ago so it’s definitely time for a change!
No White After Labor Day
Wear the white! White shoes, white blazer, white dress, white pants, wear all the white you want! I put on white shoes here and while I was getting an 80s vibe (not upset about it) it totally worked. Toss on the white blazer and get to work!
Don’t Sparkle at the Office
Sparkle like Edward Cullen in the sunshine! Wear some sparkles! While I would still refrain from looking like I was at a state dinner with the Queen I am all for rocking some sparkles, especially these stunners!
You Must Wear Pantyhose
OMFG the only time I will wear hose is if a judge requires it for me to appear before them (which did happen in Federal Court once) but other than that pantyhose is not happening. Navy & Black Don’t Mix
Lies! I think navy and black look great together! Breaking this fashion rule was the most difficult for me because I couldn’t get the embarrassment of the one time I accidentally mixed a navy and black suit out of my head. But I guess that makes the difference: meaning to break the rules and incorporating choices to pull the navy and black together opposed to forgetting to grab the correct suit jacket and ending up looking like I got dressed in the dark. You have to Spend A Lot to Look Good

No Flats at Work
